Panel Programs

PBLS’s Panel Program provides an opportunity for clients to be matched with volunteer lawyers for more than one hour of free legal advice.

Clients must first have an appointment at a Free Legal Clinic. If the legal issue is very serious, or the client needs more assistance, their file may be referred to the PBLS office for the Panel Program.

The PBLS Programs Director will review the referred file to see if the legal issue is complicated, or whether the client is unable to handle the file by themselves. The Programs Director will contact the volunteer lawyers who work in that area of law.

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE MATCHED WITH A LAWYER

You must continue to work on the file as if you will not be getting further assistance. The lawyers we work with are volunteers. The volunteers give up their personal and professional time to work on these files. If you are not matched with a volunteer lawyer, you may book another appointment at a Free Legal Clinic to continue to receive assistance.
