Attending Your Appointment

Our Free Legal Clinics are hosted by partner organizations across the province. Our clinics are found at these locations.

All of our Free Legal Clinics, other than the Regina Public Library Family Law Walk-In Clinic, are by appointment only. Our partner organizations do not have the ability to book appointments with lawyers at their clinics.

At Your Appointment

At your appointment, you will have the chance to explain your issue to a volunteer lawyer and ask any questions that you would like.  It is very important to be prepared for your appointment. If you haven’t already, please see our page on Preparing for your appointment. If you require the assistance of a translator, or if you would like to bring along a friend or family member for support, please feel free to bring them with you to the appointment.

When You Arrive

When you arrive at the clinic for your appointment, you will be asked to fill out and sign our Service Agreement and Release. During the appointment, the volunteer lawyer will take notes and will write down their advice to you. At the end of your appointment, the lawyer will provide you with a copy of the completed Service Agreement and Release Form, which will include a copy of their notes taken during the appointment.

Phone Appointment?

If your appointment takes place over the phone, the lawyer will talk you through the Service Agreement and Release. You will be emailed or mailed a copy of the agreement and volunteer lawyer’s notes after the appointment.

Additional Help

If you feel that you need additional help or want to plan for the next step in your litigation, please feel free to call our office and book a follow-up appointment. Although we can try to book you with the same volunteer lawyer, you will most likely see a different lawyer in any subsequent appointment. Please hang on to the notes given to you at your appointment so that the next lawyer will understand the advice you have already been given.
